Who Is Philip Goodband?
Philip is one of those rare individuals, a wine
connoisseur, one of only 265 Masters of Wine in the
world today who is able to communicate his knowledge
at whatever level is required to members of the wine
industry and the public at large.
During his highly successful career he has literally
changed the wine drinking habits of the nation. Starting
with a classical wine position at a chateau in Bordeaux
he remains the Counsellor to the Commanderie de Bordeaux
in London.
On his return he was instrumental in the launch
of the ground breaking Stowells Wine Boxes, He introduced
the first nationally available Vins de Pays, pushed
through the first standard wine by the glass measure,
and has been the driving force behind some of todays
most popular wines.
He works closely with many wineries including Robert
Mondavi, Hardys and Turner Road and is frequently
asked to speak at elite winemaker dinners, corporate
and other events world wide.
His work on behalf of the global wine industry has
always been visionary including chairing the international
